I've recently bought an ex-race car which isn't road legal. Before I book onto my first trackday in this car I'd like to try it out somewhere to make sure it's all running fine. Don't want to performance test it or anything just give it a shakedown at reasonable speed (up to 40mph would be fine).

Can anyone recommend anywhere within a 30 min trailering distance of Guildford that would fit the bill? Would prefer somewhere free as I only want to try it for 15 mins or so.

Thanks
Mike

Thanks for the suggestion but they only seem to do experience days in their cars,do you have experience of hiring by the hour to drive your own car?

Yes, I used it for half a day in September to tune out a downshift bang. I'll look for the link where you can book.

Thanks for the info, I gave them a call and they want £110/hour plus they need £1M public liability insurance....so I may as well turn up to a £150 Brands Hatch trackday a take the risk everything works out of the box!

Just head to brands hatch on a day when it is a track day, enter pits/paddock and try it (just dont tell Mr Palmer) wink
