Mounting bucket seats on runners.

Might be a silly question but just in the process of modifying an MR2 Roadster to be a track day car with a friend.

As we have two different seating positions we want to mount buckets on runners. Is this possible? We want to get some OMP/Sparco/Cobra etc side mount buckets.

Could someone advise a suitable suggestion? We won't be racing it but obviously want it to be as safe & secure as possible while allowing adjustment.

Yes, you should be able to mount certain seats onto runners although it will depend if there is a runner system to use? My Mini has Cobra Suzaka Pro seats mounted onto runners as Cobra have a set of runners/side mounts that it works with. I'd suggest you speak directly with your preferred seat manufacturer to check.

As above many buckets also have direct mounts for runners, many manufacturers that do this also make specific brackets, many paople just get the welder out & make suitable mounts for the runners to bolt to, I took this track with mine.
