Morning Morning..

It's looking like we might be lucky with the weather, only a 20% chance of rain.

I've noticed a large number of BMW cars listed as attending the event which makes me wonder if theres a BMW championship due to have a race at Donington in the near future.

Should be good either way :-)

Always keen to hear if there are any photographers going. I'm finding many track day photographs from the offical companies are lacking in style / variety of shots.

Silver Clio 182.

My dad will be there with his camera. Not sure how far he'll venture after just having knee surgery last month.

There will be 3 from our usual group of track day goers.
A e36 M3 and e46 M3 both track prepared and a exige S1 on its second outing after an engine rebuild. Should be at about 360bhp now..

Good day today, quite a few red flags though...

How was it for everyone?

Agree the red flags. The most on any track day I have been on. In saying that though it was a superb day. Dry morning and wet afternoon is perfect for me. Enjoyed sliding about a bit. I was in the black e36 M3

I loved the morning, afternoon didnt go too well, I caused probably the lengthiest red flag due to lifting off in the wet and going down craner sideways (and both my towing eyes falling off delaying recovery) sorry....

A bit of footage from the day. Lens fogged up so steering inputs is the only decent thing to watch. My spin at 8 mins something is the first spin in this car in 6 years.

I think it was a good day overall however there was alot of traffic out there most of the time.

Which has its positvies and disavantages to be fair. Also was a shame for my mate daves car above :-(

Heres my video i produced of the day. All i can say is thanks to the guy in the MG at 10:33 who i tried to signal with my hand asking him to stop which he thankfully obliged.

Had a great few battles at the end with the Gold M4 aswell which was great.

You are welcome. smile
I had backed off to take a run at you through that corner so had to be very gentle backing off myself, otherwise I'd have spun right into you.
Fortunately you used the universal hand signal for "please don't crash into me" so I knew what to do.;)
Real shame about the lovely Alfa, not sure he'll ever get that straight.

bow I'm eternally grateful haha.

I caught a glimpse of you in my mirrors from Craner Curves and was pushing hard to stay ahead of you. Funny how i'd been holding the slides on that corner all afternoon, right up until that point when i clearly was too eager to try and stay ahead haha.

Ahh well least i learnt the limit. It'd be interesting to see how that lap looked from your vehicle should you have any footage.
