For once I'm not too worried about the weather! I normally bring my 270HP Westfield but this time my Son and I are coming along in our 50:50 shared Mk1 MX5 complete with heater and roof - luxury! We will be the red one with hard top and white number panel on doors. We will also be at Rockingham on the 22nd.
Here are a couple of videos from the MX-5. My Son and I had a great time and the car was begging for more! The other Simon in the TVR Griffith had a drive and was impressed despite missing 4 cylinders and a lot of horsepower!

Well...that's me parked up and ready to leave at the end of the 2nd video :-)
Looked like you had fun. I had problems with a sticking throttle all day which annoyed me but didn't detract too much as it was sticking at idle, not fully open :-).....just coasting into the pits at 4.5k revs made me sound a bit of a prat LOL

It was a fun day, although as usual my little 205 was lacking in power against some of the jap stuff that was quick in a straight line.
Bit disappointed with the photos though. I'm not sure if MSE put a restriction on access, but most of the camera angles are just a little dull. I have no interest in seeing side profiles at speed. There are plenty of marshals posts that would give good and safe access to grab some interesting shots.

Thanks for the feedback and yes I am restricted to where I can stand at Abingdon.Bit disappointed with the photos though. Obviously head on shots would entail me standing "in the line of fire" which Ed and Erling don't allows especially if someone was to go straight on etc. plus I would need an extremely long focal length lens which cost silly money.
The long vegetation also makes life hard.
Side on shots give a sense of speed, head on shots a sense of perspective and as it's a friendly track day 'action' shots are few and far between and probably happen at places where I an probably not stood (Sod's Law)
What kind of shots do you prefer if you don't like side on ones?
