Spa or Nurburgring
Discussion
http://www.destination-nurburgring.com/ for 'ring track days.
Spa - I've used both Circuit Days and BookaTrack and both good organisers.

Looking at a Track day next year at either Spa or the Ring, Full Track day not a tourist day.
Which is better or are they just too different.
Who do people use to book with, any suggestions or advice appreciated.
Thanks

There are tourist days at Spa and Nurburgring, but for track days:Which is better or are they just too different.

Spa - Circuit Days, RSR Spa or Skylimit Events.
Nurburgring - Destination Nurburgring.
Avoid anyone selling tickets to an event they don't run. Book it direct and if you can then do both.

Thanks again, I like the sound of both but funds and time will limit me to 1.
Agree with never having done either before, I will learn Spa quicker and hopefully have more time exploring the limits, where I could spend all the day at Nurburgring just getting out of the way, which maybe is unfair to the more regular drivers.
I think you have all agreed with what I thought was the right choice, so will get a Spa day booked once the dates come out for next year.

Nurburgring track days are relatively quiet and how will you ever learn the circuit if you don't go? Not going because you don't know it just means you'll never know it. If you are a competent track driver then a track day is the better choice to learn a the track than a tourist day.
I was going to do a double header at the Ring at the end of September but have decided to do a double hearer at Spa in October instead. It's closer, less than half the price and there's run off. Something completely lacking at the Ring. I've been to the Ring a dozen or so times (two track days and a few Tourist Days so far this year alone) and Spa twice.
Both are great fun but the Nurburgring is the more adventurous of the two. As others have said, why not do both?

You can still get into trouble at Spa coming over Radillon and spinning into the inside of Pouhon. But yes, a lot safer than Nurburgring I'd suggest.
I instruct at Spa and the Ring. There are many places at Spa that can catch people out, especially if the conditions are not 100%. Even in the dry if not approached correctly. All that green concrete barrier is there because they got tired of fixing barriers. There certainly is less room here. But the thing is not making those errors-ie,not trying to go faster than your capability,or for that matter the cars.Approach the Ring with as much caution as you would any first time at any circuit, plus a bit more.As has been said, take notice of what is a long way in front of you and behind you.Hazards at both ends so to speak.
The roads around here,if driven faster than you know how, will bite even quicker than the Ring, they were all planned out by the same people, which is why they are sooo nice.
