Suzuka Circuit

Hi All,

Off to Japan (Osaka) for a couple of weeks in September, and really fancy a couple of laps around Suzuka.

Closest thing I've found so far is the 'circuit challenger'....30kph EV really doesn't float my boat...http://www.suzukacircuit.jp/en/experience/amusementpark/circuitchallenger/

Any ideas if Suzuka hosts track days or similar?

I did those carts. They're more like a golf buggy trip to see a very limited part of the track. Not even enough to make the wife complain, and she grew up driving in Osaka and usually hates it when cars go around corners that aren't taken at walking speed from a fresh green light.

When we first got there, there was an FD and an S14 going around the circuit though, so there was some kind of track event going on, but it was literally like 3-5 cars maximum, which was weird.

Pro-tip, if you're going with friends etc, and go in the little wind tunnel demonstration machine, stand in front of a friend, and when the wind speed has built up, suddenly duck down out of the way

I recommend the tour of the main facilities. You get to see the hospital, race control, and when I was there, I got to stand in one of Button's Honda F1 cars. One of the really crap ones, but it was still awesome to get that close to.
