Hi all,

Would like recommended track day please. Requirements are to drive something for more then 10 laps, doesn't have to be anything exotic just nippy around a track.e.g. track setup caterham, MX5, M3,

thanks

Bookatrack hire Caterhams, open pit lane so depending on track you could rack up 50 laps or so.

There's a Javelin Bedford Autodrome GT event on the 15th, and I think you can hire almost exactly the cars you mentioned:

If you're not bothered so much about speed and power, and more focused on learning techniques and balancing the car etc, then even an MX-5 is perfect for that. What they lack in engine power they really make up for with chassis. I think the average person can learn more about what it takes to be fast and keep up momentum in something low powered but well balanced, than in something that goes like a rocket but is a bit scruffy.

Seconded BaT. I did a day at Castle Combe with them a couple of years back and it was absolutely awesome. Sensible durations on track to look after the car (10 laps or so) but everything taken care of and checked/fueled up when I came in. Not sure how many laps I did but more than 2 stints per hour, probably 100+... Pretty physical to drive, I was beat up by the end of the day!

edited to add: I had a Caterham R300 SV

What car do you own? Why not just use that? You can take part in a track day without having to hire a car.

I have rented quite a few times on various frais, Bookatrack was by far the best for track time and quality of service.
