I could not help but spot plenty of trackdays on in France. Ok, not all of them are open pit lane, but I am finding it a lot easier to sell a track day at Le Mans in mid August then the Ring.

Now then, it appears that I need insurance. Obviously, no sane UK track day insurer would cover me for a French one. Surely I am not the only UK enthusiast who has cast an eye on Le Mans or Dijon. How did you get around this? Or is it possible to buy insurance on the day from the organizers? My French is non-existent, btw...

Thanks in advance...

Should be no issue with a UK track day insurer covering you for a European track, I don't know if all of them do but certainly most that I've seen are happy with it.

Yes most track days in France you can buy track damage insurance at the track.
Normally it's about 20 to 30 euros for the day.

You will need your cars insurance certificate and driving licence ,log book (V5) and mot certificate when signing in.
