Jaguar as Track Day Car - XJS, XK8, XKR?

I've enjoyed a few track days in my E-Type, but they were a while ago and with her approaching 50 next year, I was thinking of treating her less aggressively and running an XJS, XK8 or maybe an XKR. I understand consumables would be pricey and an E36 M3 might be a more sensible choice. Just wondering if anyone had any experience or thoughts.

I'm afraid I have not any experience of this but have thought about it in the past...the lack of a manual box on these models put me off...although they did a very limited run of manual XJR's if you can find one.

Edited to add...forget what I'm saying, there are XJS manuals around!

Yes most of production would have been autos, I was making the assumption that I could find a manual.
