Track day seat belt device!
Discussion
I've got one. I used it a lot on the road before i went on track and was distinctly underwhelmed by it. However it really comes into its own on track. It may not enchance your safety in the way a full harness does, but it certainly anchors you into the seat very well. I could feel my clutch leg lifting as i crested the Mountain at Cadwell rather than being flung against the ceiling as i would be without it.
If you get used to using one, a normal belt without one feels very slack. Given how cheap it is, it's worth a punt just to see if you like it.

I have a couple in mine and think they're excellent.
I have however removed the passenger one as I'm sick to death of having to explain to overly impatient passengers how to adjust it properly (they just don't want to listen and end up deactivating/breaking it!).
As a driver thing, on a track, they're really good - and as said above, so cheap its almost a no brainer.

I bought one ostensibly for track days, but now find it very comfortable on the road, as being quite tall (6' 5") I used to slouch a lot during long trips and then my back would ache. Not any more though!!! I highly recommend it for both track and normal road driving
My only gripe was that delivery took nearly 3 weeks (my one was sent from the States) and when I sent an email to enquire about the status of my order I got no reply.

I've got two, but like others have taken it off, trying to explain to my wife how it works was getting tedious!
On both road and track I find it excellent, literally pinning you to the seat, making long journeys painless and the whole trackday experience more pleasurable because of the extra feel you get from being more secure in your seat.

Are you selling the one you don't use?
I use one all the time as a passenger because it stops me being scared sh**less when Calum is "making progress" on the open road. It really sticks you into the seat - especially if you've got leather seats that you squiggle round on.
We've always got them for sale on our trackdays. I've placed a call in to CG Lock to find out what the supply situation is as 3 week delivery is a lot longer than usual.

I thought about a cg-lock but went for a Willans 4 point harness instead, shoulder straps loop through (locked) rear seat belts, lap straps attach to seat rails via plastic coated steel cord loops. No permanent modification are necessary.
I leave the steel cord in place, hidden under the seat & fit the harness in less that 2 minutes each time I do a track day.
If anyone wants photos I can send some via email.
Oh, & I got the harness off ebay, as new for 25 quid but brand new ones are in Demon Tweeks catalogue for £48, other models/makes are cheaper, even more so if you shop around.
Stu.
p.s there's a couple of quick glimpses on my video at www.pistonheads.tv/clip294 but it doesn't really show much.

Got a couple of these and tried them out on Track at the weekend....
I would say that they are NO substitute for Harnesses, im guessing that they would be nice to have for spireted road driving but I cant wait for my harnesses to arrive.
on a plus side they are great for anchoring in the baby seats, a marketing angle i think CG should have a look at..
