Ta.
I sort of know of Ed from his racing at Castle Combe and posting alongside him on Ten Tenths a while back.
Just needed some backup from you chaps.
They don't seem to be replying to emails however.
Do you know how strict they are on the noise, as the Keevil day is 100dB and my car is kind of noisy.

If you went along to one of their days just to look,
I'm sure they would happy to test you for nowt.
I think they ask you to rev to 2/3rds max revs so if 6000 is yr max then rev the engine to 4000.
Before doing it may sure yr car is well warmed up.
For some reason the warmer the engine the quieter.
If you are over the limit you can buy bolt on silencers (cans) from various places. The folks at
Castle Combe for one. Not far from Keevil or Hullavington.

I prefer Keevil to Hullavington (which has only really got one fast corner).
As Stated MSE are top organisers - and nice people to boot. Recommended without hesitation.
As for revs - its always been 2/3 revs for me but when I failed in the R500 they sent me away for 20 mins to PROPERLY warm the engine, and I then passed.
Top tips (in case you didn't know)
VERY warm engine
exhaust over the grass not the tarmac
dip the clutch
make sure no cars are about to reflect noise
will be louder on colder/damp days
