Brunters - Charity Track Day
Discussion
I know, September's a long, long way off but.......
After the success of the two charity track days last year in support of Macmillan Cancer Relief (we raised over £4,500) I have the use of the Indie circuit at Bruntingthorpe on 3rd Sept 2005 (it's a Saturday).
The cost will be £50 for the day (to include bacon rolls, lunch, afternoon tea etc.).
The event is the Travis Perkins Driver of the Year competition and those of you who went last year will know it was a great day. Most of the other events that are happening on site will be open to you (driving artic. lorries, fire engines, 4x4 off roading, Go Carts, Skid Pan, Subaru simulator, etc.)
If you want to offer dream rides and help us raise more money....that would be great.
This is just a 'finger in the air' to see if there is any interest.
As always…....all the money that we raise will go to charity.
Thanks

I'm a maybe for this, always like to do a bit of cheeerity work !
I did same thing there last year, it was great learning some new swear words from the shock of people as we went round the 1st bend my GT3.
Downside is that front bumper looked like it had been shot with a 12 bore !!

For those who didn't go last year, the day is really an 'off shot' of the Travis Perkins driver of the year event.
Cheap day, load of track time, lots of other stuff to have a go on, fantastic people and raising money for charity.
Down side is that we only have the indie circuit but the whole day (including food, drinks etc) is £50.
The numbers will be restricted (probably around 20 - 25 max) so that we can have open pits.
Sorry I'm fishing early but I've go so many events this summer I'm trying to get organised.

Yes, am interested.
I went to the same ASDA charity day as Glen, and it was interesting seeing the reactions of people when you set off at full bore like he said.
Is it an idea nearer the time to either cross post / link this thread within the TVR / Ferrari / Porsche / Viper / Noble, etc forums on here to gain max exposure?
Thanks
Martyn.

Hi Martyn
I will do as you suggest.
This post is really a 'finger in the air' to get an idea of numbers as I've got to prepare my budget for approval.
Look forward to scaring....whoops...seeing you there
