A fleet of track day cars is at your disposal in 2005

The membership fees to get access to the above fleet as one of the exclusive and limited members are as follows;

Level Joining Fee Annual Three Year Five Year Joint Annual
Sepang £350*£1,695*£4,495£7,495£1,895
Spa £350*£2,695*£7,295£9,995£2,895

*Discounts available if you are a registered PistonHeads user

track-club are keen to emphasise that the one time only joining fee exists only to cover the induction day and insurance set up that all members must go through prior to joining.  On the induction day members will receive tuition in a variety of the vehicles on the track-club fleet including the more specialised cars such as the Radical and the Turner LMP.  They will also be given tuition on the basics of using a trailer and strapping a car down as well as the general guidelines on how the club operates (cars will often be towed to a circuit although road legal ones may be driven, members can tow with their own cars or borrow a towing vehicle from the paddock).

The track-club paddock where vehicles will be collected from is just off the M1 motorway in the East Midlands and is conveniently situated for a number of circuits including Silverstone, Rockingham, Mallory Park, Donington Park, Bruntingthorpe and Bedford Autodrome.

In exchange for the membership fee members receive an annual points allowance which hey exchange for days in the mouthwatering selection of track cars that the club owns and maintains.  Members are free to choose the track day of their choice and there is no need for a compulsory instructor alongside although there are a number of exclusive options available to members with some track day operators including free instruction from Gold Track and the ability to earn additional member points from BookaTrack. All members receive an personalised member pack which includes an annual subscription to Circuit Driver and a full copy of the UK Circuit Guide.

track-club expects the average member to get around 4-6 hire periods for the entry level membership and around 8-12 for the higher level although it freely admits that members who only want to use the Radical on a nice Saturday in June will probably only manage about three days and the member happy with a S1 Elise or Clio Williams on the odd wet weekday could see hire costs averaging at less then £200 per day!!  Points can be carried forward if the member doesn’t use them all and can also be topped up during the year.

The track-club year runs from April to March however in 2005 things will kick off in early March 2005 with the induction days. track-clubhave schemes in place to allow you to spread your membership cost through the year and there are discounts available for registered Pistonheaders.  There is an early sign up discount available of £100 off both the joining fee and annual membership for sign up prior to the end of the Autosport International Show (January 13th to 16th, Birmingham NEC – See the separate competition to win tickets).

The membership discount will expire after the Autosport show but PHers can continue to take advantage of the reduced joining fee after this.  Groups of three or more who wish to join up should contact Stephen Docherty via stephen.docherty@track-sense.com for a special rate.
