This is probably a daft question, but does anyone know of a large patch of tarmac where you can throw your car around without hitting kerbs/hedges/armco?! (in Surrey/Sussex/Berkshire/Oxon)

I'd like to try a track day but don't want to reverse the Griff into a barrier on the first corner (or "I'm a big girl and already have six points", whatever). So, somewhere to chuck it about and learn the limits without killing anyone or the car would be great. Any ideas?
