Pondering a trackday for next weekend at the above,

Anyone been to this place, i know it's an airfield, so should i expect the usual stonechips etc ?

Any views, much appreciated.

I'd like to know this too, as it's only about 20 miles from me, and they are doing a day on the weekend before my birthday

Glen, if you are thinking of taking your GT3 I wouldnt bother.

Although the organisers Motorsport events are some of the nicest people in the business, the circuit, whilst it can be fun has a really poor surface.

Aswell as that, the cone layout is so tight and narrow that it really only suits tiny cars (hot hatches or caterfields etc.)

Its a real shame because it is an airfield and you might think there was plenty of space for some tail-out fun.

They have had to keep the layout tighter and tighter each year, because beyond it the surface is even worse. And they do get very strict if cones get hit (which is inevitable on the current layout)

As a result, you wont see much real exotica there.

In other words, save your money and tyres for Bedford.
