I'm wanting to see just how fast my Cerbera 4.2 really is, and was wondering where you can go to find out the top speed. (Apart from Germany) Are there any track days on runways in the UK that are long enough / will let you try?
Any one experianced one? Just how fast did you go in a 4.2?

Yes, trying to remember where I saw the advert, it was very recent. It was an airfield day, 3 mile runway, had the headline Find Out How Fast your car is. The day was going to find out the top speed of cars using the 'track day'.

Where the *ell did I see that advert. The airfield was in the UK. I'll try and find the advert tonight.

Bruntingthorpe is usually used for top-speed runs.

A few track day companies do days there with 9-12 and 2-5 as a proper track day and an hour or so at lunchtime for a top-speed run.

I'd second Bruntingthorpe, a 2.4 mile runway should be enough for most cars to max out and stop before the fence....

Bruntingthorpe, Saturday 27th July. Check the calendar (www.pistonheads.com/trackdays/calendar.asp).

They're going to have a speed gun there. Jay Shepherd is also offering coaching that day.
