Am looking for a helmet to use on trackdays, snell approved isn’t too important as I won’t be doing any sprints or competitive events. Am currently considering the Sparco Club X1 (link below) however I cannot find any opinions on here or any other forums. Has anyone got one or had one?

Also consider V2 helmets if you're on a budget. Great customer service and the helmet quality far exceeds its price point.

They are 2nd on my list! The Sparco one seems great value however I would rather it was backed up by some positive experience too.

Was originally going to go for a V2 Tour but I want to use it in a MX5, often with the roof down, and I know a couple of track day organisers can be a bit funny about soft top + open face.

The V2s, full and open face, have been very well received by PHers. And the chap who runs the company has a no-quibble returns policy, in the event your head is the wrong shape smile

Would echo comments about V2 and excellent service.
Had a variety of elises and now caterham and still prefer full face helmet as offer more options-you can always raise or take off visor

I thought I would feel like my view was more restricted in a full face over open face but after trying both, i do think i prefer the full face now.

Strange that there dont seem to be any user opinions on the Sparco helmet as its great value and from a great name in motorsport.

I have one. Good fit, nice price. I think they are new so you won't see many opinions. Do shop around as DT aren't best value.

I'm looking at the Sparco Club X1 - DT seemed quite keenly priced, anywhere else I should be trying?

I got mine from groubBmotorsport on ebay, much cheaper than DT and great communication / service.

I got one from GroupB Motorsport last week, 2nd the 'excellent service' above, top company to deal with!

If they're on backorder, it's because Italy closes for August and Sparco are an Italian company. Try GroupB though, they may still have stock - 0845 194 7147.

Sorry to revive such an old thread, but anyone searching for info about this helmet might be interested to know that it bears an uncanny resemblance to the MDS M13 which is a few quid cheaper and available in a variety of colours.

Another necrothread resurrection (sorry) but my old Sparco Club J1 open face is way past its date (it's marked 2007) and I was thinking of going full face. The Club X1 looks like a good contender. It's currently £77.98 at DT.
