Currently looking into the possibility of a Nurburgring trip over the weekend of 17/18 September.
We've got a ferry place on hold from our cancelled Le Mans trip, and by mid September the new engine should be nicely run-in
Anyone else interested or care to offer any pointers

We have the yearly UK/European Saabscene 'Ring event there that weekend

Maybe some kind of bilateral meet/BBQ would be in order?

We're going to be there on Mon 30th Aug for a few laps en-route to Italy (booked us into the Dorint to keep the girlfriend happy - only £50!)

Just got back. I'd recommend trying to get there for the Friday afternoon or staying for the Monday afternoon session. Saturday and Sunday are very busy with lots of closures due to accidents. It's also easy to get caught up in someone else's accident.

The Dorint was good value although very quiet - 18 people on Sunday!

I might try to do that weekend as well.

I'll be there with an Exige, a VXR220, an NSX, a Mitsubishi Evo VIII 340 and a Porsche 911 Turbo S.

Jon - you gave me a passenger ride round the 'Ring in 10:30 in the streaming wet in that POS FWD Audi TT180 Roadster a couple of years back. Any chance of a quicker ride round in your Atom?

It was a POS your right, and it was even worse when I had finished re-styling the bodywork prior to returning it It was fun though, only 150bhp but enough to bring a smile

Your more than welcome to come for a spin, hopefully the lap times will come down a little!!! I am hoping by the end of the week to be putting in consistent sub 8 BTG.

We havent taken the car out for a proper drive yet as it has only just passed SVA, but the small amount I have done, and lets just say its lively!

So yes come and say hello, hope you fit in a medium size helmet?

Impressive driving on that video. Was I hearing things, or did I hear your lady call you a wuss halfway around the circuit? (sounded like wuss to me). The Clio certainly shifts when well punted!

We saw you there - we were the red TVR T350 you may have spotted pottering around Nurburg looking for somewhere to eat on the Sunday night. We left for Southern Germany before lunch so only got to try the track when damp in early/mid morning (at least it was quiet and there were no bikers or tourists in the way).

I cannot help either tapping the brakes there....she can do it just lifting a little.
