i'd have thought you'd want something light to get up to speed quickly, if it's from a std start doughnut?

also you could do with one rear wheel doing more work than the other so you apply a side thrust onto the rear of the car in the direction you're spinning?

I don't know how you'd do it like that other than modifying a car in some way with a trick diff, but you could get a similar effect from something like a grinall scorpion with it's single rear wheel toed to the side you're spinning .. would ensure rapid spins surely?

sounds great however you achieve it

you mean like a "jinny" wheel .....good idea but it has to be "production"

If you got the corner weights massively wrong it would effectively be one wheel drive? I think a light mid-engined short wheel base car would be your best bet, if you can find one? The point being to minimise the radius of the circle described by the CoG.

is the challenge to doughnut round a cone or to just spin the car round as many times as possible?.
if its round a cone you wont beat a 7 type car,
if its on the spot then a 4wd will spin faster, once you get all 4 spinning and it starts chasing its tail.
doing it for a whole minute is going to make you ill

I'd guess that some judicious selection of tyres of varying tread depth and adjustment of tyre pressures might help improve the spin rate.

The current crop of 4WD nutter machines will donut like nobody's business and the spin rate is much faster than RWD only. Somthing like an Mitsi Evo would be top.

To see a 4WD rally relpica type production car donuting is almost unreal. It doesn't really donut, just stays still and spins!

Its fantastic. Make sure someone videos the event.
