Check out CAT Driver Training who are based at UTAC, Millbrook Proving Ground. You can explore your car with their top instructors in a safe environment.
I’d second this. It’s not a trackday but some of the pointers will make a big difference to your understanding of the car and more importantly what you can and can’t do. My biggest tip would be to do several laps building up speed and getting heat into the tyres. If you stop for lunch etc. make sure that you take time to do the same again. There’s a reason why red flags are often quickly followed by another!

That's also why red flags straight after lunch are fairly common. Before i worked it out I was wondering what people were eating in the break...

I rather suspect it's more about over zealousness after a break. after all, people often rest up for 30mins between drives.
most red flags cause frustration of having to re-enter the pits, wait and restart. the tyres will still be warm(ish)
