Just bought a litte book "Schweizer Strassenpaesse" full of great drives
all around CH,not only the classic passes, as Klausen etc. albeit in German, but easily checked on a map
written by Giorgio Keller
www.giorgio.li

Hi Andrew,
What were the tyre dimensions?
Since getting an official :-(((( price quote (from my AMG dealer, otherwise excellent plus even my local Opel outlet), they were way past an good price,.......
I bought quite often in Germany near were Dorothy lives, and claimed back the VAT at customs, otherwise
and thereafter I always bought tyres at a little family company, some 6 miles
from where I live, a place called Landquart, best prices for say 4 wheels on an SLK55 for around
CHF 1000-1200 Pirelli PZeroRosso (MO-Mercedes Org.), fitted, balanced etc.
Of course it is not a very "romantic" place, but excellent, fast professional
service,... and even excellent coffee :-) Try it on an
excursion, you (or I, as he knows me)can always get a quote to compare
with other offers.I doubt they speak English.
Another company I know is Reifen Ihle
http://www.ihlenet.de/2558.html?L=0, Germany,even represented in CH
or
http://www.ansreifen.ch/index.php
Swiss Company with French Origins,
or
www.reifendirekt.ch
(owned by: http://www.delti.com/Investor_Relations/index_en.h...
I think they have something to do with Continental ;-)
Happy hunting :-)

Dear Friends
I think this thread is not aboutthe initial theme. Couldn't we change it
to "Tyre purchase in CH"?
Unfortunately I do not know how to do that :-(
Nothing wrong, just a thought ;-)
...and yes I think Loerrach and surroundings, evt. france??, should be ok,
it is much nearer :-))
Regards out of the rain
