Vorzeitige Passöffnung am Gotthard - Apertura anticipata del Passo del San Gottardo

Aufgrund der geringen Schneemengen und unterstützt durch die langanhaltende Schönwetterlage, können die Passöffnungsarbeiten dieses Jahr so früh wie nie abgeschlossen werden.

Die Passstrasse wird demzufolge bereits am Samstag, 30. April 2011 um 10.00 Uhr den Verkehrsteilnehmenden übergeben. Die früheste bekannte Aufhebung der Wintersperre am Gotthardpass erfolgte am 8. Mai im Jahr 1961.

Bei Schlechtwetterphasen muss jedoch weiterhin, insbesondere in der Nacht, mit temporären Schliessungen gerechnet werden.

A causa del contenuto innevamento, unitamente alle condizioni meteorologiche favorevoli, quest’anno i lavori di sgombero per l’apertura del Passo del San Gottardo hanno potuto essere conclusi molto presto, rispetto agli altri anni.

La strada del Passo potrà dunque essere percorsa dal pubblico già a partire dalle ore 10.00 di Sabato, 30 aprile 2011. A quanto noto, finora l’unica revoca anticipata della chiusura invernale del Passo del San Gottardo risale all’ 8 maggio del 1961.

In caso di cattive condizioni meteo si deve comunque contare su chiusure temporanee, soprattutto notturne.

Pässe voraussichtliche Öffnungstermine 2011
Furka 20. Mai 2011 +/- 1 Woche
Susten 27. Mai 2011 +/- 1 Woche

Diese Öffnungstermine sind Annahmen und können je nach Wetterentwicklung (Sicherheit) bis zu einer Woche früher oder später erfolgen. Der Vorschlag für die Öffnungstermine ist mit den Nachbarkantonen abgesprochen.

ing bd thing wasnt opened last weekend was it? Oh no had to force everyone down the tunnel...yes just the one of them. bds!

Ian's handy Swiss driving tip no. 1: avoid Gotthard like the plague unless you are going over the top of it. You're much better going via San Bernadino is much quicker as you don't seem to get the same traffic and the roads are much more interesting.

Driving to Fiorano a week on Sunday for my outing in the GTO on the following Monday with a certain F.Alonso. How wonderful that the pass just opened!! smile

Pretty cool.. Most people get a pair of free mats and a full tank of fuel when they buy a new car.....

Best bit of Gotthard is the old cobble road.
