So I'm buying a 599 GTO and won't get the LP700 after all. I've got an order for thr first customer car at my Lambo dealer, I could take delivery and sell it on, probably for a premium, but I was wondering what's involved in selling the order rather than the physical car. I'm fairly sure there will be a lot of demand by people who are at the end of the waiting list to get their hands on this car.

Anybody done this? What's involved?

You are definitely in the right country to sell a first dealer LP700. There must be huge demand especially after it appears in the Geneva motor-show, maybe you should hand out flyers saying you have one on order wink My first guess would be, does your pre-order T&C's allow you to sign it over to someone else? Or as you have already stated you might need to purchase it and then sell it on?

We saw your 16M followed by your wife in the Lambo last Saturday, I bet you are loving the winter season without snow cool

There are usually adverts in the Sunday Times from people selling their slot (Matron!) and the price differs a lot depending on whether the new buyer has the option to spec the car or whether the speculator has already done so.

The t&c don't say anything about assigning it. Will get some advice Monday.

Snowing way too much for my liking today. Such a difference since mountain biking the valley yesterday in the glorious sun.

We would have waved, but were driving in the other direction and thinking wow what a nice Ferrari and Lamborghini, what are the chances of seeing both at the same time biggrin

It was like flying back into Brum!

Dont even go there...... even mentioning that you own a car, any car, but especially anything considered "nice" or "frivolous", is enough to get you flamed....
