Surely this can't be true, play loud music and lose your licence?

In an unrelated traffic incident on Saturday afternoon in the city, police stopped a young driver in a grey Mercedes after he drove round with music at an excessive volume. The 19-year-old Kosovan man explained to the police that he had a second job as a rapper and was unaware of the offence he was committing. Police subsequently confiscated his driving licence on the spot.

Its in Switzerland. They have different rules over there, including the overriding principle of "you're an immigrant, do what the heck the rules say, or life will become v v difficult, v v quickly"

Fair one, IMHO.

The Swiss have a very healthy attitiude to integration.

Driving around "meaninlessly" and making loud exhaust- or music-bum-bum-"noises" is an offense overhere ;-)
How would that be in the UK?

Have a good week, all.

Not much to do with integration - just a public order and anti-social behaviour issue in a densely populated area within a country that doesn't tolerate blatant transgressions. IMHO.

Not me, I was out on Sunday as it happens. Perhaps it was Marcus on one of his test drives

There's nothing heroic about what your other hand was doing. You need to stop getting turned on by cars and start respecting that your passengers don't want to be near you when you're doing "that".

Music too loud is an offence in Germany as well, although I haven't heard of any prosecutions.
1) Public nuisance offense and
2) Driving offense as you might not hear emergency services sirens etc
and you can lose your license or at least collect points for these!
