Anyone here lost their BBC 1 & 2 and Channel 4 reception in our area in the last couiple of days, mine is on the blink and I thought that possibly the BBC has reduced signal strength again? Any ideas?

Are you getting much snow? I used to have huge problems when it snowed or in heavy rain.

However after adjusting the satellite and weighing down the stand with concrete blocks I don't seem to have so many issues. Sometimes having better quality satellite receiver also helps, I am now using a FreeSat Humax Fox PVR which seems far better than the Sky model I previously had.

Thanks for that Taff, signal seems to break up more often nowadays. Got some signal back yesterday but with the typical digital breaks. Only had this in the past with severe thunderstorms to the southeast. Must be that the dish is slightly off......

Had the same problem with my old Sky box. First the BBC channels went and one by one other channels went. Swapped the box once Dave disappeared. It turned ou that there was a power issue. Quite a known problem on some brands.
