OK ... TVR law. Having just moved to Switzerland, my Tamora's engine has started misbehaving. Does anyone know of a mechanic who has experience - and, more importantly, a good reputation - of dealing with Speed Six engines. I'd rather avoid driving back to the UK quite so soon, so anywhere in Switzerland or nearby France would be great.

Never had a TVR over here, but this name crops up a lot:

Hopefully its just your plugs getting a little dirty through driving slowly. When I first arrived I thought I was religiously obeying speed limits. A fine soon followed for doing
"At least 1kmh over the speed limit".

He´s a very nice guy and runs a very clean workshop. Does a lot of work for historic motorsport and works on the majority of swiss Speed6 cars.

Cheers Jens

P.S. Don´t expect too much of his courtesy cars though.

Great, thanks - that's the same chap whom the TVR club recommended. I'll certainly bear him in mind for servicing; but for the current coughing fit that my Speed Six is having, I'm going to take it back to the dealer in the UK who's been looking after the car for many years.

Ojay, when u mention France u make me think you're my neck of these woods - around GE VD!?

These guys are your solution: http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=127979866305...

http://maps.google.ch/maps/place?hl=en&biw=143...

They just revised my Tuscan's S6 - it had sticking pistons, oiled chambers and misfiring etc. Now it is like new.
They have the S6 software I gave them and u can borrow my diagnostic cable if u like. I live 2mins from them.

The job was a walk in the park for them when u look at the formula race engines they construct! They only work on engines and their factory is as cutting edge as u could hope. They are super friendly and service orientated, the pricing was extremely good as well IMO.

Happy to chat thru if u mail me

cheers!
