Swiss Classic British Car Meeting in Morges - Sat 2nd Oct
Discussion
was a bit dissapointing this year, not many stands, and not really that many different cars, every other car was a mini or an mg. And very very stupid crowds of people who seemed to want to get run over, then looking at you and still not moving over enough for you to be able to pass them. Oh well.
The TVR's where lovely tho the lotus carpark was full by the time I got there so I was parked a few cars down from the tvr boys

I admit also that the MG crowd was ENORMOUS. I was also amazed by the amount of British cars tucked away here with Vaud plates. Liked the Lotus group near the church and a couple of TVRs by the yacht club. Nice warm weather also. Not very many "special" or exceptional models though, but could have not seen them. I don't know how many cars where there, but probably around 1000 I guestimate.
Great weather this year. As already mentioned, it seemed there were fewer marques represented but in large numbers. Estimated attendance was 1500 cars I believe.
I really liked the Dolomite Sprints, the P6(?) and SD1 Rovers. TVRs looked nice as usual but on my quick walk round I only saw two Chimaeras, a Griff 500, a Tuscan and a couple of S. Could have sworn I followed a Sagaris into the event but couldn't find it once inside.
The RS500 got more attention than ever which was pleasing. Some of the comments I overheard were funny:
Ooh, he's got the one with the big 5 litre Ford engine.
Is it a Scorpio...?
Ooh, I like these. I tell you they go like st off a stick.
I remember these racing at Barhurst against M3s and Commodores. (good lad)

Any pictures? Last year I took a few and penned an article for Classic & Sportscar in the UK, but couldn't make it this year.
Eh, sorry no... I forgot the camera at home. Looked at the official site for photos but none yet. Will probably be uploaded soon: http://www.british-cars.ch/photos_f.htmlEdited to complete reply
