Is today a national holiday?

Been trying to pay for some vehicles and get delivery dates and don't seem to be getting very far.

So, is today a holiday in Switzerland?

Nope - well I'm in work anyway.

Today is a Monday and most places are shut especially the ones that open for half day on a Saturday (oh and have 2 hour lunch breaks). It's a hard life for the Swiss.

Maybe they're just taking things easy then.

Well considering the weather and temperatures, I nearly melted at the office yesterday afternoon, so I imagine some places are taking things easy, but it is surprising that the official places are closed
