Swiss Run - The Photo Thread
Discussion
Hello guys!
Seeing as the old thread hasn't been put back up, I thought I'd start a new one.
Also it was getting a bit long, so a new thread makes sense.
First of all, I would like to say how much I enjoyed the day. I think I (just about) met everyone and what a superb, friendly bunch you all are! It was great to put some names to faces & cars.
I thought the day itself couldn't really have gone better, weather notwithstanding. However, even that cleared during the day.
The standard of driving was excellent with no major mishaps (I unwittingly completed the odd dodgy overtake )
The scenery was nothing short of spectacular, and the roads were stunning - the car and driver really get a work out!
Many thanks to everyone who came along to make such a fantastic day!
Anyway, onto my photos. I may as well include all my Facebook photos from my 5-day driving adventure. As well as the Swiss Run, we headed up to the Nurburgring
DAY 1 & 2 (This is the album with the Run)
DAY 3 & 4
DAY 4 (cont.) & 5
Enjoy!
Darren

Hi Darren
Well........what a trip. This one was the most intense driving trip solo I have been on yet and I thoroughly enjoyed the varied types off driving from some (very hmmm!) high speed unrestricted German Autobahn driving to tight dynamic Swiss pass driving.
I have to say the highlight for me was coming across another LP640 (but a coupe) in white on the Autobahn - my gal got very flirty with it and she shook her ass for about 30 miles and was very frisky for the rest of the day!!
I think the guys are looking to go next year and would recommend it to anyone. We are thinking of going back to the Ring Set/Oct so I feel there may be another classic weekend roadtrip happening this year - everyone welcome!!

can't see how that could be road legal, if germany has the same rules (I assume they do) as the uk re quad cycles (the only possible way that could be legal) then the engines are limited to something puney (somthing like 5 kw) so you'll be lucky to pull 50mph on it.and with no suspension at all you'll break your back on a normal road.
eta, its also not got a gearbox, so you'd have to run really high gearing otherwise the enigne would blow on the first straight, so pulling away would be painfully slow.
If you took it on the ring you'd get squashed

This would put them in a similar category to a G-Wizz.

Smilerbaker, I have seen one here with local LÖ plates, and it's NOT a moped either.. it has normal full road-going plates and must have around a 250cc motor judging by its speed. Damn thing is invisible in traffic however, even from my low car!
it would be pretty cool you could gear it so they will be very fast accelerating, but no top end at all, and as soon as you get on a straight the engine will go pop, I used to run and drive for a british endurance kart team, its a very fine line how you gear the things, and the first pot hole you hit will bend the chassis still wouldn't want to run one on a normal road, would eat the tyres in no time too.

Here are mine. I left in the foggy ones at the start as a reminder of how bad the conditions were at the beginning.

Hi eyebeebe,http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=444884&i...
thank you very much for respecting my privacy by obliterating the number plates.
I'm the bloke with the red GT3. PLEASE, EVERYONE, either obliterate my plates or remove any photos where you can see them.
Believe me, I have VERY GOOD REASONS for asking you to do so.
