Any Swiss genealogy experts?

Hello all, first visit to the Swiss forums, I hope someone can help.

I am trying to trace my family tree and one of my ancestors was born in Switzerland, I have tried to search google for information on gaining a Swiss birth certificate or any information available on a birth in Switzerland, more specifically, Geneva, from 1833.

If anyone is able to either help me and do a search for information, or can point me in the right direction for said information, please get in touch via PM and I can let you know the information I already know.
