anyone here live near Saas-Balen???

in need of a little assistance if possible, there is a gravel road leading up from the dorf train station (need to cross the tracks to access it) which leads up the mountain side and eventually goes to the glacier. This road used to be a public road about 2 years ago, anyone know if it still is???

If you look on google earth you can see it quite clearly.

wouldnt mind an afternoon driving on a gravel road but is a bit far to go to find its been reclassified.
