Auto-Renntage Frauenfeld: 24-25 April

Hi,

Is anyone else planning to go to the event in Frauenfeld this weekend, or has anyone any experience of previous events.

I think we're planning to go for the Lotus event (Saturday lunchtime) and then hopefully hang around for the Porsches.

I am planning to go on Saturday afternoon to catch the Porsche group. I have been a couple of times and it is a good day out. Sometimes it runs ahead of schedule (the Porsche event was almost over at the advertised start time a few years ago!). There is always some interesting stuff in the "pits" and some displays from garages and vendors. The best place to watch, IMO, is from the bridge near gate 46 as you get a good view of the cars approaching and through several tight corners. It's also worth a walk down to the competitor areas and the stands at gate 25. Maybe see you there!

I missed the real action of the day, when the Ferrari 333 reversed over the front of the Honda, to the sound of breaking composite. The Maserati hadn't got enough steering lock to get round the corner.
