Hi all, have read a few threads today and immediately decided to join up. Looks like a fun group and was struggling to find car junkies on the englishforum. Have put the pass trip dates in the calendar. Anyone attending/organizing anything more hard core this year? I did the PCZ slalom at Ambri last year and the RMA trackdays at Spa in July - both good. Thinking of going to Porsche Francorchamps Days at Spa April 16 to 18. Anyone else? Hope to meet up face to face soon!

Welcome to the proper car lovers forum. EF has its usage, but for vehicles and especially the joy of driving then forget it.

Hi Alps. I'm taking my GT3 to Spa in March and in August with bookatrack.com
Also possibly going to Hungaroring with the Porsche Club Seetal Luzern. And Monza in July with europeanspeedclub.de

Have a look here and it is not far from you ;-)

We had quite a few beers with them at the LeMansClassic in 2006 ;-)

Thanks Rainer, yes I know them, they are next to the cable car up to the nearest ski resort to us!

I am taking the car to them on Saturday to see if the dynamic engine mounts can be retro-fitted (Amag do not really understand)

O/T

AMAG: they are really not into race-parts :-(, they want to sell, do hopefully proper servicing, there might be some exceptions, but at present I am not in Porsche buying-mood ;-), so no experience.....
rather sniffing around a Griffith, an Abarth Spider or a Cobra :-)))
Have a nice week-end.

Andrew, that's a good list of events. Enjoy. Am looking for something in Dijon, which has the advantage of being relatively close to Zurich. I have signed up for the Porsche Club ZH slalom at Ambri Airport again this year on May 29. I have done it a couple of times and it is a good day out and has the big advantage of being local. Enjoy the season, with weather like today's a young man's thoughts turn naturally to ... cars!

Hi Alps,
As a fan and previous owner of Porsches, I can recommend you join a Porsche Club. As you are in the Zurich area you could get in contact with the Zurich club: http://www.porschesportclub.ch/index_home.html
Most of the clubs have regular outings to some top tracks around Europe, or you could compete in the Swiss Cup.

Edited to add this:
See also the Federation of Swiss Porsche Clubs here in French or German

Ultima, thanks for the suggestion. I've been picking and choosing between events organised by different clubs. Went to Dijon with PC Basel last month which was great - perfect circuit for my car (993RS). Will do a PCZ day next month and am looking for a Hockenheim event later this year. So am monitoring the local branch sites plus the umbrella organisation you suggest. Always interested to hear of other outings - post here!
