Chaps a quick heads up for a snow rally taking place this weekend/early next week based just across the border in Malbuisson, France. An interesting entry list, and Henri Pescarolo is meant to be putting in an appearance. The Z4 wont be much fun in the snow, so will be taking an old Mondeo across. See you there!

There's a lot of very well prepared classic cars - Alpine Renaults, 2 x Stratos, 914, 356, 911, Mk1 Escorts etc. Pescarolo is driving a Manta 400, there's also Mikkola's Quattro
On Tuesday the field heads to the south of the French Jura department - Oyonnax is about the limit, before returning to Metabief. It's a regularity rally, but some competitors seem to have forgotten that and are getting it nicely sideways

Well worth a trip

If you get a chance, check it out. The route is secret until the evening before, but is available at rally HQ - Hotel le Lac, Malbuisson.

However I've sent way too many hours standing in a field in the pouring rain, freezing cold in the middle of winter in Wales waiting for Colin McRae to come flying around the corner. Only to find out he crashed out 2 stages before - ah the joys !
