British Car Meeting - Morges, 3 October
Discussion
A quick heads-up for this event see www.british-cars.ch/index_a.html
I went last year and spent a cracking day beside the lake and will be trying to make the trip this year - featured marques are Austin Healey and (predictably) Mini and Morgan.

I hope it doesn't rain again. The car will be clean and prepped in time for the meeting (working on it in the evenings before I go away). Sadly, last year was quite breezy and the car was continually being covered in dust from the pathway round the park. I was fortunate that the car went under the Eggenberger gazebo so it didn't get wet, but this year, if it's raining, the RS (and I) stay at home. It's not really sensible to drive it in the wet...
Some real quality in the car park too - a cracking gullwing Merc 300SL with Rudge wheels.
Was great to see the support this event has from far and wide - the Belgian Triumph club overnighted in "my" village of Malbuisson (Doubs,France) . Very pleasing that few (if any) cars were trailer queens - all the cars I saw had clearly been driven to the event.
Morges capped a very special fortnight's holiday for me - starting with three full days at the Goodwood Revival then 1400 miles of D road driving in France.
If any of the organising team read or post on PH perhaps they could take a bow and post a message - you guys clearly work very hard to make this a very, very, important and enjoyable event on the classic car calendar, oh - don't change a thing, I think the relaxed, informality is as much a part as the sensational location. Keep up the good work, and see you next year!
