Any Ultimas lurking in Switzerland?? Have plans of building one in near future if I can convince the automobile authorities to register the car. Engine would be a LS7 with cats, etc to meet emission standards.
Thanks for any info.
Have posted a similar topic under Ultima a couple of weeks, but didn't dig up much and nothing on GTRs hear....

....maybe you could check here about the chances:
www.gt40.ch
...experienced people, knowing the UK kit-car market, you might get some
tips
or here:

if they can get this sort of car through the German TüV, why not in CH?
Last year I asked the local MFK about a car I was intereste in, a German 911 RS
Replica with "wrong" powerful engine, different brakes etc.,beautiful beast,
but I wouldn't have a chance, even with a TüV doc. :-((((
Keep us informed :-))

Thanks Rainer for the info.
I am preparing a file (general and technical data, photos, etc) for the local automobile registry people with whom I plan a meeting sometime in September. Based on first contacts, reaction is not totally negative. Probably the best bet will be to keep them informed on the build: asking questions and getting approvals from them for different aspects of the construction. Probably the best argument is that all the parts in an Ultima build are new and not from recuperated odds and bits. A great deal of patience will however be in store. Am loving to see what they say. If the engine can justify current pollution norms (LS7 will be necessary). Noise levels may be a problem though.
If you pass round the area, drop me a mail and we can perhaps get together for a drink
Till next time
Daniel

Nice looking car and well finished (cockpit), don't like too muche the rivets on the side windows and headlight covers. It seems though to be an early generation GTR (rear curves)?? I really want to build my own, so probably will not be looking too closely at buying a second hand version. There is a car on the market in Germany

For sure they can speak English, at least a few of them, just try it.Otherwise
they could not be so linked to the English classic-car scene.
I would be prepared to do some translations, if needed.
If Dot and I are driving, maybe in Autumn, through the Lavaux country-side,
we'll inform you,thats for certain.
See you.
