Cost of living
Discussion
Hi Guys
Will cross post this in the P&P, as it looks like this place is not visited that often, and I need an answer by tonight as I've had a call from an angency looking for someone to fill a gap in a company in Stans, which from the description would be my perfect role. I need to let them know tomorrow if they can send my CV to them and set up an interview.
My questions are twofold :-
Anyone know this area?
What is it like?
What is the cost of living/working in Switzerland like compared to the UK?
Thanks!!

Hey you! Never expected to see you in here! I have this forum in my favourites as CH is my favourite place of all!
I have an Uncle & Aunt in Kussnacht (near Lucerne). I stayed with them for a few weeks in 93, what a fantastic place!
Seriously, I think you will find the COL fairly high, but then so is England compared to here...
If the sums work out for you i would recommend doing it, it would be a great experience. I would expect the contract payment to reflect the COL in the location. Where in Switzerland is the job?

Hallo there,
Just do it, could be a great experience :-) The roads are very inviting,
and if you like skiing, there are some nice resorts near. Nice countryside, too.
Costs of living are lower than in the UK,taxes the same.(so apt.rentals might be high....)Try to make a good package
with your employer.
Good luck and regards
