winter driving training?
Discussion
thought i'd ask here before googling as my french isn't very good...
friend has moved to lausanne. she's indian so zero experience of driving on rural roads in snow and ice and has just bought an audi a1, now worried as colleagues are all giving her horror stories about the perils of not having awd.
given her usage it is near to a non issue, use of winters plus knowledge of how to reach in a skid or loss of traction will be fine.
my question is whether there is any driving training she can undergo over and above what she'll need to convert her DL? classroom theory and a skid pan maybe, or even just a few hours on the road now the snow is coming down properly. no idea if this is standardised at all in normal lessons.
any tips where to ask or google search terms appreciated.

neige & glace = snow & ice
Although a bit of a journey from Lausanne, these are good fun
