Land Rover Defender in Switzerland
Discussion
Does anyone have any pros / cons / insight / tips of running an (old style) LR Defender in Zurich?
I owned a 2.4Tdci 110 for years in Latin America so am very familiar with the car itself; but will be new to Switzerland. In particular - are they tough on diesels? Parts / workshops any good (essential with Defenders haha)? Anything I should look out for?
Cheers,

There's no discrimination for Diesel cars here in Switzerland (unlike Germany, where some cities are forbidden for Diesels). And Defenders are quite popular here (and most are Diesels anyway). The main gripe in Zurich is to find a parking space. Best is if you have a personal parking space in an underground parking that belongs to your apartment or house. Finding a (permanent) public parking is almost impossible nowadays.
And as said above: Salt on the road during winter time. And fuel prices: Diesel is comparably expensive in Switzerland.

A friend used to have his serviced by a specialist near Zurich. I think it's these folks in Hinwil: https://www.boesch-defender.ch
