Car Related Points of Interest in CH
Discussion
I'll likely be spending circa 5 days in the area of Zug during the third week of October. So I'm looking for any suggestions on car or motorsport points of interest to visit. Collections, museums, routes of interest etc Will also be in Gruyères for a day, so any ideas for stuff to see/do in that area are also welcome.
I might also have some time in Liechtenstein, but that's not certain yet. Also up for any historic points of interest, and views of landscapes/lakes/mountains etc
All suggestions welcome.
Thanks in advance.

Apparently there is a very good Rolls Royce museum in Liechtenstein, you'll have to google it.....
AND a racing car mueum in Rohrschach (Sauber and the madcap cars by Collani)....... again you'll have to google it.....
Zug is a desert, nice cars on the road but no museums etc to my limited knowledge

Is there any place online which supplies live updates on whether the passes are open or not? I drove them 11 years ago in the last week of September and all were clear, but I remember one was questionable. Can't remember which pass, but think it was in the east of the country.
Must see if I still have the route maps we used then.

You could also visit the Verkehrshaus (Swiss Museum of Transport) in Luzern- not too far away from Zug). Covers all transport from rail to space, but the cars section includes the Monteverdi collection, and possibly Sauber too (might have moved).
Lots of speed cameras nearby, be warned!

I found the Verkehrshaus in Lucerne a bit boring to be honest, although it would be good if you have children I guess. the Autobau museum in Romanshorn is well worth a visit though! amazing collection especially if you can catch it on a day when they have one of the cars out on the small track they have, saw the new Ford GT go round last year.
Not CH but if you are around the north it's definitely well worth popping over the border and going to the Cité de l'Automobile in Mulhouse, as a fan of pre-war and 50's-60's cars that collection blew my mind, never seen so many Bugattis in one place.
