Seems that we have failed to have an AGM for 2 consecutive years now. Hopefully we can change that this year.

Is there any interest in a return to form this year. Hopefully if we start planning now we can get something in the diary before everyone gets booked up.

We could do the usual loop or another route if anyone has any ideas. Alternatively, if anyone wanted to make a weekend of it we could do a modified version of this http://www.exclusive-rentals.ch/en/alpine-tours/ba... though obviously not staying at Badrutts (possibly at the top of Stelvio so we can get an early clear run or two).

I will most likely not be able to make it again this year as I am fully planned until August frown Shame, as I always enjoyed a little run through the alps

You plan your diary even more in advance than the Swiss!

I'd be up for it, depending on which date is picked.

I too have missed out the last couple of years

Sounds good. I'd be interested (now that I won't get deported in the unlikely event of exceeding the speed limit smile )

Weekend of 18th June? Or the following one to miss Le Mans? The passes should definitely be open by then.

Have missed the group run the past couple of years. Can't do the weekend of June 18 but should be able to do the following weekend. Never get tired of the usual route.

Can't do June 18th as I've got another car related tour that weekend, though definitely interested.

I have to say the usual route is nice but driving in Switzerland has lost it's "fun" in recent years as I don't like the idea of being lumped with the "criminals" by simply doing something like a prompt overtaking maneuver! I'm sure it's MUCH safer to overtake at 82 km/h over a few football fields worth of roads as oppose to just getting it done.....

At least now us stinking auslanders won't be deported for getting a parking ticket.

Another suggestion, the scenery is not so spectacular but the road are really good in the Black Forest. It is also quite central....

Ditto the above..... would help with route planning/restaurant if required!

You're all assholes - I move closer to the passes and you want to go North smile

Black Forest is fine for me. Only concern is the OH will find out and want to spend the weekend at Traube Tonbach.

I presume the punishment for transgressions is a little more lenient in the Nordkanton?

Yes the alpine county is very harsh (and very racist) whereas in civilisation they do have "some" acceptance of drivers (probably because BaWü supplies most of the worlds high-end cars) wink Thats why so many cheese drillers are caught vastly exceeding the limits...... Mind you 160 on a B road would cost you your license... but the Schwarzwald roads are sometimes so tight that 60-80 feels too fast...

(All comments very tongue in cheek!)

Ok, hint taken.

I've not driven in the Black Forest before, but probably happy to give it a go. I'm going to give it a trial run on Monday if the weather holds.
