Does anyone know how to get a Telepass transponder for Italian Autostrada without an Italian bank account or credit card?

Another though is whether you "rent" them from someone?

I know a credit card works well, but the Telepass would work better and I'm doing a Italian tour with people in right hand drive cars.

Hallo Toni,

Have a look here:

http://www.tolltickets.com/country/italy/telepass....

I hope this helps you.Tried it out once, rented it in Germany, sent it back, credit-card was debited plus a small charge, thats all:-)

Nice trip to you and your friends:-)

Rainer, that's a cool solution. The use of the yellow lanes in Italy is a great way of avoiding all the queues, specially during the holiday periods.

Thanks Rainer, I'd spotted them on a Google search but it's good have a recommendation.

I've order a year one as I do enough trips to make it worth while.

I've got the rest of the guys travelling with us to get one as well so hopefully it will be smooth sailing.

I'm getting mine sent to the UK for the guys that are coming out. What is your experience with getting them sent to Switzerland do they hit you with VAT and duty?

Hello Toni,

As my wife still has a job in Bavaria, the device was sent there.......But I doubt there would be a VAT here in Switzerland, just try it;-) Otherwise contact them directly...
