Good hoon roads near Montreux??
Discussion
I've looked at 2 routes into Montreux from Reims:
1. http://goo.gl/maps/lC6dQ
or
2. http://goo.gl/maps/QUzqZ
Which would you recommend? Any problems with roads being open in late May?
Thanks

If it is for end May, both should be no problem. However, in case of late snow falls at that time of the year (they happen from time to time...), the Grand St Bernard Pass may be temporarily closed. You can always fall back on the tunnel under the mountain, but its less fun of course!
Believe it or not, I've never driven the Pass road! I always seem to take the tunnel because I'm in a hurry...
However, the other option through Chamonix and the Col des Montets and Col de la Forclaz are nice too with great scenery. You just need to be careful with radars on the swiss side going down to Martigny. The St Bernard route is much longer in distance of course. I assume you are going to Verbier just to see the resort. Not much going on if its not winter time.

I would take a different route from Reims, going through the beautiful French and Swiss Jura:
http://goo.gl/maps/76X6K (just did this 2 weeks ago, lovely bit of road in France and beautiful drive along lake Geneva (Motorway in Switzerland or small roads if you feel like)
or, if you are brave add some small pass-roads: http://goo.gl/maps/YWELx - I work nearby but have only done the small Jura pass roads in the summer (fantastic), could be some snow now, even though it's been a really warm winter so far...
Also REALLY watch your speed in Switzerland - cops are on a speeder-witchhunt
