Anyone go through LA CURE on a regular basis ?
Discussion
Hi, does anyone here go to LA CURE on a regular basis ? more specifically ski at JOUVENCELLES ?
What I am after is, at the bottom by the large chair lift on the left hand side there are a number of small appartments, many of them have a contact number sign on the balcony and would like a few of them please if possible.
I have not got the place in Nyon this year so looking at other options, if I could get one of those small appartments I would more than likely go for that option, if not a hotel which I can sort myself no problem as a ski chalet will be a bit OTT for my son and I to rattle round in.
Thanks

Apologies for late reply. I often visit Malbuisson a touch further north, so know the area reasonably well (albeit when there is no snow on the ground). I have found the tourist office in St Cergue extremely helpful - perhaps it's worth getting in touch with them. Using the same logic (and knowing the border at La Cure famously runs through a hotel), you could try the tourist office in Les Rousses.
Unlikely that I will be in the area for the foreseeable future, but currently trying to find an excuse (& some wheels) to drop down for the Geneva Motor Show.

Another thought - have you tried using Google Streetview? - you may find a roadside sign with some info. I'm currently "driving" from La Cure towards St Cergue, shame I'm not in the Z4!
O/T I took the narrow gauge railway to Nyon once and the driver allowed me to travel in the cab, I videoed the whole journey - sensational scenery observed from a unique perspective.
Edit: Have just found this pdf of accommodation in the area HTH

Thanks, only shows the main road about 100m away but good call.
The hotel list is usefull thanks, we like St Cergue and used to stop off there for a drink on the way back home to Nyon, it was also where we started to Ski before we found Les Rousses, nice little place but we were so lucky to ski there first year as I dont think it has seen snow since, at least not enough to open while we have been there.

Not sure if it is new this season but it was certainly new to me.
Such a joy to ski in the Jura with the family when the conditions are right.
Don't have any particular ideas on accomodation other than you might try going through the usual local tourist services http://www.lesrousses.com/
