Nürburgring Classic GP and Porsche trip

This is perhaps a long shot...
I've been invited by Classic Porsche Switzerland to an event at the Nürburgring on 10th to 12th August. Involves joint drive on Friday 10th August from Switzerland to the Nürburgring (presumably over country roads) to 4-star hotel not far from the ring. There is a BBQ organised for the Friday night. The Saturday is spent at the Ring watching the races plus there are static displays including special display celebrating 40th anniversary of the 2.7 RS. In the evening there is a gala dinner. On the Sunday there is a drive home (not organised so leave at your own time).

Ideally I would have gone with my wife and daughter but the daughter starts school on the Monday and my wife thinks it would be too much as they need to prepare for the new year.
Even better alternative would have been to go with a good friend from the UK that has a similar level of car/Porsche/2.7 RS obsession as myself..except he is taking his father to an Olympic's event that weekend.
Anyone on here that would be interested in going? Either driving themselves (possibly need to have a Porsche, preferably an older one). Or as a passanger?
Cost is CHF 750 per person (don't you love those Swiss prices!) but that includes two nights in the hotel plus food and entrance to the event at the Ring plus hospitality.

Hello (not so) schnell man 
I've always had this on my todo list. Only problem is we are off to Sardinia on the Saturday : why do families always get in the way of proper pass times.
