Finally Swiss Number Plate Data Protection

As most of you are probably aware about the complete lack of data protection when it comes to Swiss Vehicle Licence plates e.g. easily searchable via the internet from specific cantons. Well now you can remove yourself from the database, just search for "gesuch um sperrung der halterdaten". I've got one for Kanton Zug and will be filling it in straight away.

The cantons who still make this information public is disappearing like snow in the spring time.

You've been able to do this for a while? I followed Kimi on his motorbike through Baar last spring, reg ZG666 but the web site said something about details withheld

Yep seems like it has been around for over a year. Our company just emailed us the details so I thought it was new for Zug - doh!

That must have been a rare sighting, I remember reading in the local rag about him hardly ever living in his Zug place.
