I read online it's possible to get a good deal on laptops in Switzerland, specifically at the airport. I'm in Geneva on Wednesday, is there a computer store at the airport? I can't find one listed online and thought there was only a small electrical concession last time I was there.

Ideally I'd buy the laptop before I got to Switzerland. Is it worth waiting?

Thanks

toppreise.ch

IT equipment, cameras and electronics in general can be surprisingly cheap out here so it's rarely worth importing kit.

Be careful though as you might end up with a keyboard that is designed to support Swiss German etc. which you may not want!

MogalBoy is correct with http://www.toppreise.ch/ to compare prices and watch out for Swiss German keyboard. Plus you will also have a Swiss plug so will need an adapter. Can't think with the current exchange rate between UK and Switzerland you will save that much to be honest.

I checked the price and it's the same as here, almost to the pound. Add in the keyboard and plug and I might as well just buy it here online or Tottenham Court Road.

Thanks for your help guys.

Shiny thing make it all better. John Lewis won - £30 more than online, but two years warranty.

Thanks again.
