Can anyone tell me or even better show me on google maps exactly how to get to the glacier at the top of the Grimsel / Furka.

Likewise the "old" Gotthard pass - i think its cobbled?

Muchas gracias

Belvedere glacier is at the top of the Furka. Assuming you're heading from the north, take exit before Gotthard tunnel and head towards Andermatt (best to get off the highway earlier at peak times and head for Wassen. This road runs parallel to highway). Keep on this road until you reach a roundabout. Turn right towards Realp. This turns into Furka pass. The Glacier is just after the peak.

Have fun.

The glacier has retreated so much you may have some difficulty finding it, but should be on the right after the Furka tourist traps

Old St Gotthard road also known as Tremola. At peak of Gotthard coming from Andermatt go off the main road toward the Hospitz. Follow the cobbled road down. From Airolo drive to the village and take the road towards the Kaserne (Barracks) and follow the white sign post toward San Gottardo. The road is not one way and the upper part is cobbled. They renovating the road constantly. Don't try to drive fast on the Tremola
