What a nightmare last nights major downpour was. We had to drive our car to higher ground as the garage was close to being flooded! They sandbagged the front doors and locked the massive underground shelter (where our bikes/snowboards are kept).

Might need to double check insurance covers flood - gulp!

Sorry to hear. Here down south, contrary to the weather forecast, we just had a couple of drops, nothing really to water the gardens with.

All fine up on the Aegeri hill, apart from the rain blocking the satellite signal leaving us TV-less! smile

Another night of crazy hail, rain, thunder and lightning. Our metal window shutters are dented due to the hail and one shutter is complete broken. The satellite was flipped up and all the plants thrown around the balcony. This place is getting dangerous!

You're not kidding. We were out walking the dog and literally just walked into the house as the hailstones started in the late afternoon. Lucky escape! smile

Careful as the roads are littered with debris!

I have also heard some peoples cars are badly dented due to the hail yesterday, thank goodness for underground car parks!

Thanks for the warning!

Yesterday I had been planning taking the GTO out, so so glad I didn't due to the paintwork-killing hailstones that fell later. I assume this time there was no danger of your garage being flooded?

No flood threat so far, although speaking to Swiss neighbours they said about 6 years ago it flooded to head height - nice! I think it is time to move flat to one on higher ground.

Our house in Richterswil was pretty much in the "epicenter". It is fair to say my garden furniture were not all in the same place as I left them. But no damage at all. I was worried about our outside curtain blinds as they were down to keep the sun out, but they all held up well.

Smallish hail storm last night for a while over St-Sulpice around 23:00 and plenty of rain for some time further. The noise on the shutters was sufficient to keep people awake. No damage at first sight
