Austria (yes, I know this is the Switzerland forum!)

In a week or so we'll be travelling from Germany and staying in Austria (in the Gastein region) for 5 nights. We've done Switzerland and absolutely loved it, but thought we should go somewhere different this year.

So, are there any particularly fantastic roads/interesting stuff to see? Also, we're planning on breaking the journey back to the UK on 18th June, and wondered if anybody knew of an interesting midway stop-over point.
